About The Position
Ascension is seeking an Associate Chaplain to join their Pastoral Spiritual Care department at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a rotating, PRN position. The Associate Chaplain will provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, associates, and community members. Responsibilities include assessing, delivering, and documenting pastoral care, offering prayer and spiritual counseling, consulting on ethical concerns and values-based decision-making, and assisting with the planning and implementation of spiritual care programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE required.
- 2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Human Behavior or a related field preferred.
- 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, associates, and community members.
- Assess, deliver, and document pastoral care, including prayer and spiritual counseling.
- Consult on ethical concerns and values-based decision-making, making referrals as needed.
- Assist with planning and implementing spiritual care programs and initiatives.
