About The Position

The Associate Category Manager plays a key role in transforming category strategies and insights into compelling, visually engaging PowerPoint storytelling that drives growth categories across all channels. This position blends analytical rigor with creative execution, partnering closely with internal teams and agency partners to develop tailored retailer materials, templates, and tools that elevate retailer engagement and reinforce the organization as a preferred strategic partner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the US consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, with roles in Category Management, Sales, and/or Marketing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to organize complex information and develop clear, visually compelling presentations.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures such as IRI and Nielsen.
  • Ability to manage and support multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail, quality, and timelines.
  • Strong skills in visual storytelling, content organization, and design-focused communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar field highly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with creative or agency partners to develop and refine presentation templates and visual assets.
  • Preferred experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, ThinkCell, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize insights from shopper data, scan data, and custom research into actionable narratives.
  • Experience maintaining organized digital libraries or repositories, such as SharePoint, for presentations and marketing assets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concise creative briefs and clearly present recommendations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Translate category, sales, and performance insights into clear, structured PowerPoint presentations that highlight key takeaways, opportunities, and strategies through strong design and organization.
  • Lead the creative execution and redesign of tailored retailer PowerPoint content to elevate storytelling quality and deepen retailer engagement.
  • Serve as a primary creative support resource for internal stakeholders and agency partners by creating and updating PowerPoint templates, designing media, and writing clear, actionable creative briefs.
  • Synthesize learnings from multiple data sources, including shopper data, scan data, and custom research, to ensure that all content is accurate, current, and aligned with stakeholder objectives.
  • Maintain and coordinate the team’s SharePoint site, ensuring effective version control, organization, and ongoing updates to presentations, templates, photography, and supporting materials.
  • Provide hands-on support during retailer visits including assisting with visit execution, product sampling, operational logistics, and communications to ensure a seamless and professional experience.
