About The Position

This role supports Category Managers in executing category management strategies and sourcing initiatives. The Associate Category Manager will administer supplier agreements, coordinate low complexity sourcing events, and maintain contract repositories. This position also involves monitoring supplier compliance, distributing supplier scorecards and reports, and supporting category objectives. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and assist in preparing presentations and market research are key functions. The role also supports continuous improvement efforts in supply chain management processes and ensures compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Experience managing contract renewals and amendments.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and contract lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience in using ERP, Sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier management systems (i.e. Oracle, COUPA, ISNetworld, etc.)
  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal clients as well as supplier representatives.
  • Requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in order to obtain and provide explanations and information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in commonly used reporting and statistical analysis methods/tools.
  • Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
  • Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or another reporting/analytics tool.
  • Requires intermediate computer skills for economic analysis (e.g. MS Excel) and correspondence (e.g. MS Word).
  • Requires knowledge of purchasing and inventory control databases such as Oracle, SAP, etc and associated applications used to mine data or other information from these sources.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Category Managers in the execution of category management strategies and sourcing initiatives across assigned categories.
  • Administers supplier agreements, including contract renewals, amendments, terminations, and required documentation to assure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and executes low complexity sourcing events, including supplier communications, bid solicitation, evaluation support, and documentation of award recommendations.
  • Maintains contract repositories, records, and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness.
  • Assists in monitoring supplier compliance with contractual obligations and supports resolution of routine contract administration issues.
  • Maintain, and distribute supplier scorecards, reports, spend analysis, and other KPIs to support category management strategies.
  • Support Category Managers in tracking KPIs, opportunities for improvement and category objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, support sourcing projects, and facilitate contract-related approvals.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, market research, and analytics utilized in strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize SCM processes, reporting tools, and contract management processes.
  • Support SCM policies, sourcing procedures, and contract management requirements to support company compliance and governance.
  • Performs other supply chain, and category management support duties as assigned.
