About The Position

At MGM Resorts International, the guest experience begins with comfort, consistency, and the high standards that define our hospitality brand. Our Category Management Associate plays a key supporting role in the hospitality-focused categories that help maintain these standards across our rooms and guest environments. In this role, you’ll provide essential analytical and operational support to ensure our hospitality categories run smoothly. You’ll help maintain accurate data, track performance, support supplier coordination, and assist with day-to-day activities that keep our hospitality operations aligned, reliable, and positioned to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of prior relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, merchandising, or operations preferred.
  • Experience with data management or administrative support.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, or similar) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing category strategies and sourcing initiatives developed by the category team.
  • Support supplier onboarding, data collection, and contract administration.
  • Manage category documentation and ensure accuracy of item, pricing, and supplier data.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret category performance metrics such as savings, spend, and supplier KPIs.
  • Maintain dashboards and tools used for monitoring compliance, spend tracking, and demand forecasting.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison for routine communication between suppliers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate logistics and administrative support for supplier meetings, audits, reviews, and follow-ups.
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries, escalating issues to the Category Manager as needed.
  • Support compliance with sourcing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in ESG and supplier diversity tracking efforts.
  • Identify and support process improvement opportunities within the category team.
