About The Position

Aegis Living Granada Hills is seeking an Associate Care Director to provide quality care to elderly residents and leadership to care staff. Under the general direction of the Care Director, the Associate Care Director assists with implementing activities of daily living (ADLs) care and medication passes in assisted living and licensed nursing communities, and supports care-staff scheduling to help ensure safe resident care. The role includes scheduling and coverage coordination, care-related administration, direct personal-care shifts, staff training, and participation in staff management. The position offers an opportunity for growth to Care Director.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience with elderly patients or residents.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medication Technician with nurse delegation in senior living.
• Commitment to high-quality standards for resident care.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Skilled at building positive relationships with residents and care-team members.
• Strong computer skills.
• Skilled at working with teams and using effective oral and written communication.
• Skilled at building positive relationships with residents and families.
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality.
• Must be willing to take a 2-step TB test.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all community care staff.
• Find coverage for care-staff call-outs.
• Manage care-related forms and report staff overtime.
• Work direct personal-care shifts as directed by the Care Director.
• Assist in training care staff.
• Participate in management of staff.
• Assist with implementing ADL care and medication passes in assisted living and licensed nursing communities.
• Support scheduling of care staff to help ensure safe resident care.
