The Associate Buyer will be involved in all purchasing activities, receiving orders and granting approval for purchases of goods or services. This role will analyze changes or new issues in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality. The Associate Buyer will execute procurement strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of cost, profitability, productivity, quality, customer service, and sustainability. This role executes tactical procurement activities of assigned location(s) for Maintenance, Repairs and Operations (MRO) supplies and services up to $100,000, including interacting with suppliers, verifying specifications and pricing, creating purchase orders, monitoring order status, supplier invoice management, and resolution of non-compliance. The Associate Buyer ensures compliance to Menasha’s purchasing policies and procedures, Menasha’s Supplier Code of Conduct, and national supplier agreements. This role participates in evaluating prospective MRO suppliers and coordinates the supplier approval and qualification process. The Associate Buyer supports local cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence, administers annual assigned scorecard initiatives and monitors performance through forecasting and/or other company reports, and ensures compliance to Menasha’s Risk Management supplier insurance requirements. This role maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.
