About The Position
Grand Appliance and TV is seeking to hire a motivated Associate Buyer! The Associate Buyer will be responsible for purchasing, category management, inventory productivity, fill rates, and supplier performance. Overall, the goal of this position is to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. This position will be based out of our corporate office in Sturtevant, WI.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or supply chain is preferred.
- Prior experience in purchasing or inventory management, or sales is preferred.
- Prior experience or education in data-management and ability to make inferences by using data.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel related to VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, etc.
- Sense of urgency to solve critical issues that may affect other departments within the company.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze weekly sales and order reports for tactical and strategic purchasing.
- Provide assistance to the sales team on estimated arrival times for items and orders.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on shipments.
- Explore and discover opportunities to align purchasing efforts to the company’s strategic direction.
- Focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Plan and implement initiatives for the reduction of the cost of goods and services.
- Additional tasks and projects as needed.
