The Associate Buyer is responsible for procurement activities on Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) parts. This role works to assure the timeliness of deliveries and accuracy of orders. Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year procurement experience required
- Basic understanding of supply chain management in a manufacturing environment
- Possess strong time management, organization and decision-making skills
- Detail oriented, flexible, able to adapt to rapidly changing situations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of MS office applications
Responsibilities
- Generates purchase orders to ensure inventory levels for COTS parts
- Process purchase requests and maintains accurate order data
- Communicates, interfaces with, and builds professional relationships with suppliers
- Performs Purchase Order (PO) schedule management to ensure on-time delivery and expedites as necessary
- Assists with invoice discrepancies to ensure timely payment cycles
- Processes return material authorizations (RMAs)
- Performs other duties as assigned
