About The Position

BioMed Realty is looking a results-oriented Associate to support strategic initiatives that enhance financial and operational performance, streamline processes, and advance our data-driven decision-making capabilities. This role will collaborate closely with leaders across the CFO organization to deliver meaningful business process, reporting and data related improvements in how we forecast, report, and manage enterprise-wide priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Transformation, the Associate will play a key role in shaping how our company approaches transformation and change management in an evolving real estate and technology environment. This position requires strong process management skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to support change in areas where transformation functions are still being established.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience across finance, accounting, transformation, consulting, corporate strategy, or related disciplines
  • Proven track record in institutional real estate, financial services, or similarly complex industries.
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Accounting, IT, and related corporate functions.
  • Proven experience in preparing executive-level presentation materials, with strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results.
  • Ability to influence and build consensus with stakeholders across functions.
  • Strong change management skills, comfortable navigating ambiguity and conflict.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Nice To Haves

  • advanced degree a plus.
  • System experience in Oracle, MRI, Nexus, Argus, SQL, Power BI, Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake process for new projects in collaboration with the technology team, ensuring business needs are accurately captured.
  • Coordinate with department leaders, business stakeholders, and consultants to translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements.
  • Lead and support ongoing process improvement initiatives to optimize company-wide operations.
  • Maintain and oversee team project trackers and dashboards for enhanced visibility and accountability.
  • Develop and implement new tools to streamline project management processes and foster collaboration.
  • Assist in launching a corporate-wide data governance program, including the development and implementation of a new data catalog.
  • Schedule, prepare materials, and facilitate critical meetings necessary for data governance initiatives.
  • Support the creation and drafting of new policies, procedures, and protocols tied to data governance standards.
  • Provide oversight of department roadmaps, working closely with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive process maps to outline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage recurring executive level materials for high-profile initiatives, ensuring meetings stay focused and productive.
  • Assist business sponsors in developing new project proposals, including Return on Investment analysis, cost/benefit assessments, and other critical evaluations.
  • Monitor and report on department and project budget variances to ensure fiscal responsibility.
