This role involves collaborating with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and grow customer relationships. The Associate Banker welcomes and guides customers in the branch lobby, offering advice on digital and self-serve options, and conducts conversations about banking services, personal banking, and investment advice. Key responsibilities include meeting customer transaction needs, reviewing profiles for opportunities, and addressing everyday banking and credit card requirements. The position also entails supporting operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, and branch opening/closing. As a key member of a collaborative team, the Associate Banker integrates marketing promotions into customer conversations, ensures accuracy, and strives to personalize each customer's experience. The role contributes to branch business results and customer experience, and may involve working at multiple branches or through various channels with a flexible schedule. Adherence to risk and compliance processes, safeguarding customer assets, maintaining privacy, and upholding ethical requirements are paramount. The Associate Banker must stay current with the financial services marketplace, legal/regulatory environment, and personal banking products, while also identifying and reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering. The role requires completing complex tasks, analyzing issues, and applying BMO's Risk Management Framework.
