About The Position

The Associate Banker I (described in the posting as Teller II) works at a TD Store location and helps deliver a positive customer experience by processing everyday banking transactions accurately and efficiently. The role also educates customers about TD products and services, offers appropriate financial and digital solutions, and refers customers to specialized partners when needed.

The position supports daily store operations, customer flow, cash handling, security, and compliance. It includes training and mentoring new tellers, completing required training, and following company procedures and applicable regulations. The role is based at Wilmington Main in Wilmington, North Carolina, and is listed for 20 hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a legendary customer experience by consistently demonstrating TD’s expected customer-facing behaviors.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box payments efficiently.
• Cash checks; verify currency; balance cash drawers; and process night deposits accurately.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures, escalating to management when appropriate.
• Guide customer flow in the lobby, welcome customers, and direct them appropriately.
• Understand customers’ banking preferences and educate them about relevant self-service and digital options.
• Conduct needs-based conversations, offer financial and digital solutions, and refer customers to appropriate partners.
• Train and mentor new tellers.
• Assist supervisors with daily duties as directed by Store leadership.
• Complete operational activities in compliance with company guidelines and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
• Verify customer identities in accordance with authentication policies and procedures.
• Balance cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Dispensers or Teller Cash Recyclers as necessary.
• Follow safe deposit box procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain accountability for cash drawers and vaults, observe cash limits, and secure cash at all times.
• Keep confidential customer information securely stored throughout the day.
• Follow dual-control requirements and security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.
• Use bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud.
• Complete required classroom and online training by established due dates.
