About The Position
Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is a California-based AmLaw 200 law firm dedicated to providing legal services to both public and private organizations throughout the state. Established in 1979, with one office and five attorneys, AALRR has grown to more than 300 attorneys in ten offices throughout California. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in IP litigation matters. We currently have a lot of patent litigation, copyright litigation, and trademark litigation that needs additional support, and the successful candidate will have a broad range of experience.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in IP litigation matters
- Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the State of California.
Nice To Haves
- Trademark Office, Patent Office and ITC experience is a plus.
- Transactional and licensing experience is a plus
- General business/commercial and employment litigation experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Trademark, patent, copyright, and/or trade secret litigation experience in federal court.
- General IP-related advice and counsel
- Conducting document and data reviews; e-discovery
- Preparing and responding to written discovery requests
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Law and motion work
- Attending court hearings and arguing substantive motions
- Arbitration and/or trial experience
- Preparing trademark, copyright, and/or patent applications and responding to office actions.
