About The Position

Anderson Legal Group, PC is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its team. The firm has offices in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Williamsburg, and Gloucester. The role offers litigation experience across a diverse caseload and practice areas in a supportive, collaborative environment, with opportunities to develop litigation skills and serve clients with varied backgrounds, industries, and legal needs. The firm uses Clio for client and matter management, and Westlaw and CoCounsel for legal research and AI-assisted analysis. Compensation is described as competitive and based on experience, with performance-based bonuses.

Requirements

Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
Recent law school graduate or attorney with 1–3 years of experience.
Demonstrated interest in litigation and a strong desire to develop skills in this practice area.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients.
Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
Attend client meetings and provide legal advice and guidance.
Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases.
