As a national defense firm, we're seeking passionate attorneys licensed in Alabama with experience in General Liability, Trucking, and professional lines including Medical Malpractice and Workers' Compensation Defense to join our Birmingham, Alabama office. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 2-10 years of experience. Our team is committed to effectively moving cases through the legal system while vigorously defending our clients’ interests in court. Through our strategic approach and dedication, we strive to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients while upholding the highest standards. Our General Liability Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients. From initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, we provide comprehensive legal representation tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice in the State of Alabama
  • Located in Birmingham, Alabama
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Draft and respond to discovery-related motions
  • Regularly attend court appearances
  • Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses
  • Draft motions for summary judgments
  • Experience in General Liability, Trucking, and professional lines including Medical Malpractice and Workers' Compensation Defense
  • 2-10 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Medical records analysis
  • Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity
  • Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions
  • Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients
  • Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses
  • Drafting motions for summary judgement
