About The Position

A prominent New Haven County personal injury law firm seeks a qualified attorney with experience in Personal Injury Pre-litigation / Negotiator claims. The firm is looking for someone admitted to the CT Bar in good standing, with proven negotiation successes in personal injury, or a newly barred attorney eager to learn personal injury law, or someone who has handled personal injury claims as a paralegal/law clerk. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all phases of a personal injury case or have a strong desire to be mentored and learn personal injury law. Excellent analytical, professional communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and balance independent work with collaboration. A proactive, results-focused work ethic is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Admitted to CT Bar in good standing
  • Personal injury experience with proven negotiation successes OR newly barred attorney with a desire to learn personal injury OR have handles personal injury claims as a paralegal / law clerk
  • Proficient in all phases of a personal injury case OR have a desire be mentored and learn personal injury law
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Professional written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop positive rapport with a diverse group of people
  • Adept at working efficiently and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Balance working independently and collaborating with others
  • Proactive results-focused work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Represent and counsel clients regarding their legal rights and obligations
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate all case information and investigative materials
  • Accountable for adherence to statute of limitations and notice deadlines
  • Negotiate, settle, and try plaintiff personal injury cases
  • Timely communication with clients and medical providers
  • Provide outstanding client service in a professional and ethical manner
  • Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with fellow attorneys and support staff
  • Occasional travel to other CT offices or courts
  • Follow the firm’s operating procedures and case management guidelines
