About The Position

Mandarich Law Group is one of the country's leading creditor's rights law firms with offices in CA, NY, IL, MI, OH, GA, and FL. They are seeking an Associate Attorney for their Kansas City, Kansas office. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in the states of Kansas and Missouri.

Requirements

Licensed in the State of Kansas AND Missouri to practice law.
Comfortable appearing in court and the ability to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation.
Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for a high volume caseload.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Additional licensing in other states (IA, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV) is welcomed.

Responsibilities

Court Appearances – Prepare for and appear timely and properly handle court appearances that are reasonably within travel distance, predominantly courts on the eastern side of the state. Ensure timely and reliable appearance at the courthouse. May require overnight travel and driving a car.
Court Coverage Placements – Review and appropriately request coverage where necessary for all court calls where an Associate will not appear, including attaching necessary documents for the covering attorney and any necessary orders.
Mid Litigation Motions and Responses – Draft, review, and file necessary motions during the course of litigation.
Trials and Arbitrations – Prepare for trials/arbitrations as necessary, which may include overnight stays in distant counties.
Communications with Attorneys, Employers, and Consumers – Communicate with consumers, consumer's employers, and consumer's attorneys as necessary to resolve accounts/suits.
