About The Position

Associate Attorney Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school recognized by the American Bar Association Active membership with a state bar, or the ability to obtain admission to the Washington State Bar within six (6) months of hire Minimum of five (5) years of experience handling transactional legal matters, with exposure to areas such as corporate law, finance, intellectual property, or similar disciplines Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently across all organizational levels and with external legal partners Highly self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines Capable of providing legal support across a broad range of business and operational matters Practical experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, along with familiarity in compliance and employment-related legal issues Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Willingness to travel as needed Valid driver’s license required Ability to work at a computer for extended durations Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings or weekends as needed Comfort working in environments where smoking is permitted Commitment to following all organizational safety protocols

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school recognized by the American Bar Association
  • Active membership with a state bar, or the ability to obtain admission to the Washington State Bar within six (6) months of hire
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience handling transactional legal matters, with exposure to areas such as corporate law, finance, intellectual property, or similar disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar and in good standing
  • Experience supporting or working with tribal entities, or background in firms or programs focused on tribal or gaming law
  • Prior exposure to regulatory compliance, contract management, and oversight within regulated industries, including gaming operations
  • Familiarity with federal Indian law, Washington State regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and tribal legal frameworks
