About The Position

Stenger & Stenger, P.C. is seeking a tenacious Attorney, licensed and located in the Atlanta area, to join their growing team in retail consumer collections. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on a team in a fast-paced environment and has an interest in leveraging the latest in technology. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in creditor’s rights and civil litigation and be eager to contribute to all aspects of file generation and litigation. This position reports to our state lead and is best suited for quick learning, dependable, and collaborative attorneys. As a key member of the team, the attorney will use their Juris Doctorate degree, analytical mindset, and knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to creditor’s rights and collections to develop and implement case-level litigation strategy, and zealously represent clients at court proceedings. They will have a high bar for excellence, a sense of urgency, and advanced interpersonal and written communication skills to partner with the internal team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to efficiently manage dockets and cases, prepare pleadings, and ensure seamless case management. The attorney will use good judgment, complex problem-solving skills, and achievement orientation to negotiate settlements with defendants and opposing counsel, defend against counterclaims, and navigate escalated litigation matters to resolve disputes. They will be adept in leveraging the latest industry technology, monitoring and educating team members on changes to laws or regulations, and support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency. The role involves regional travel to appear at courts throughout Georgia, requires good standing with the Bar Association, and the ability to meet requirements of a thorough background review process.

Requirements

  • Licensed and located in the Atlanta area.
