Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or have an adequate UBE score for admission to the jurisdiction.
  • 3 to 8 years of litigation experience preferably in insurance defense or closely related practice area.
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
  • Strong capabilities in performing thorough legal research.
  • Ability to respond effectively to discovery requests.
  • Strong advocacy skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage your own caseload from inception to conclusion, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, providing invaluable courtroom experience.
  • Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
  • Regularly communicate with clients, providing status updates and written reports.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and write memoranda to bolster case strategies.
  • Work alongside seasoned partners and senior attorneys to ensure smooth case management, enhancing professional skills in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.
