About The Position

Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team. This role involves working on a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters in practice areas such as professional liability, construction litigation, product liability, drugs and medical devices, life sciences, and toxic torts. Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to the Rhode Island Bar.
1-3 years of prior civil litigation experience.
Experience in both Rhode Island state and federal courts.
Experience taking and defending depositions and leading discovery.
Self-starter with strong advocacy skills.
Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Ability to perform legal research.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload from start to finish.
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
Meet critical deadlines and drive matters forward.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
Develop litigation strategies.
Work closely with clients, experts, and colleagues.
Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients, including providing status updates and strategic guidance.
Contribute to case strategy through focused legal research and well-crafted memoranda.
Work side by side with partners on complex, high-value matters.
