About The Position
Schneider Buchel LLP is a fast-growing law firm specializing in real estate law, employment and labor law, and discrimination law, representing community associations throughout New York State. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented transactional associate attorney to join our expanding legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal matters, with a particular focus on serving the legal needs of community associations. This role is primarily transactional with no court appearances or litigation required and is an in-office role located in the Long Island, NY area. Requirements
- Admitted to practice law in New York State
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Client-focused with an ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with community association law, labor & employment law, or discrimination law is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to Community Association law matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to Employment and labor law matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to Discrimination and Reasonable Accommodation matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to License agreements (including rooftop/cell tower access with all of the large cell phone carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.)
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to Commercial real estate transactions and leases
- Interact with clients, property managers, and board members in a responsive and professional manner
- Occasionally attend Board meetings and community meetings for community associations
