About The Position

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our General Liability Defense practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil litigation matters and a strong interest in developing their career within insurance defense. Experience with premises liability, automobile negligence, personal injury defense, or other general liability matters is highly preferred.

Requirements

2+ years of litigation experience
General liability and/or insurance defense experience preferred
Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with a desire for long-term professional growth

Nice To Haves

Experience with premises liability, automobile negligence, personal injury defense, or other general liability matters

Responsibilities

Help run and assist with managing a caseload of general liability defense matters
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
Conduct and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
Analyze claims, develop case strategies, and provide thoughtful recommendations to clients
Negotiate settlements and assist with cases through all stages of litigation
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
