Earthjustice seeks an Associate Attorney for its Rocky Mountain Regional Office in Denver, Colorado. This is a three-year position, with potential for extension, designed to develop early-career attorneys into skilled public interest litigators. The role involves supervised case management, gradually increasing independent responsibility. The Associate Attorney will contribute to the Rocky Mountain Office's mission of transitioning to clean energy, defending communities from pollution, and protecting public lands and wildlife. The position focuses on climate and clean energy matters, using litigation and advocacy before state and federal regulators and courts to promote renewable energy resources, electrify transportation and buildings, challenge fossil fuel investments, and amplify environmental justice communities' voices. While the primary focus is climate and clean energy, other cases may be assigned as needed. Earthjustice is a leading environmental law organization dedicated to protecting biodiversity, averting climate disaster, and ensuring a healthy environment for all. Founded in 1971, the organization has a strong track record of achieving lasting environmental protections.
