About The Position

Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their award-winning team. This is an opportunity to gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters involving general liability, wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more. The role involves handling every aspect of cases from inception to resolution, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial. Associates will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, with opportunities for collaboration and mentorship from experienced partners.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment.
  • Skilled in conducting legal research.
  • Skilled in drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Skilled in propounding and responding to discovery.
  • Skilled in interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
  • Client-focused mindset.
  • Passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current admission to the California State Bar.
