About The Position

Anderson Legal Group, PC is hiring a Litigation Associate to join its law firm, which has offices in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Williamsburg, and Gloucester. The associate will litigate cases for clients, negotiate settlements, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, advise clients, and represent clients in mediation, arbitration, trials, and hearings. The role involves collaboration with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases and offers exposure to a diverse caseload across practice areas in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Requirements

Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
Recent law school graduate or attorney with 1–3 years of experience.
Demonstrated interest in litigation and a strong desire to develop litigation skills.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients.
Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
Attend client meetings and provide legal advice and guidance.
Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases.
