About The Position

Aspen Careers is partnering with a respected and expanding estate planning and elder law firm to identify an Associate Attorney for the Charleston, West Virginia market. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney who wants to develop a client-centered practice while joining a growing organization with an established presence in Ohio and continued expansion throughout West Virginia. For the right candidate, the firm may offer relocation assistance, along with the opportunity to work remotely on Fridays when no client meetings are scheduled. Initial training may take place in the firm's St. Clairsville, Dublin, and/or Lancaster, Ohio offices. The firm is mission-driven and focused on helping clients protect their assets, families, and legacies. It fosters a collaborative culture built around teamwork, integrity, and high-quality client service, providing significant training and professional development for attorneys entering or expanding their experience in estate planning. Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
• Approximately 1–5 years of attorney experience.
• Comfortable leading client consultations.
• Enjoys relationship building.
• Confident discussing legal services.
• Strong communicator with excellent organizational and client-service skills.
• Interested in learning and developing expertise within estate planning and elder law.

Nice To Haves

• Ohio licensure is a plus but is not required.
• Estate Planning experience is preferred.
• Attorneys coming from Family Law, Personal Injury, Probate, Criminal Defense, or similarly client-focused practice areas are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Help expand a successful estate planning and elder law practice into the Charleston market.
• Work directly with individuals and families on meaningful legal matters involving their assets, loved ones, and long-term plans.
• Step into a relationship-driven practice offering an alternative to the pace and unpredictability of traditional litigation.
• Receive structured training and ongoing mentorship from an experienced legal team.
• Lead client consultations and help individuals understand their legal options.
• Provide clients with clear, compassionate guidance.
• Discuss legal services and help prospective clients move forward with representation.
