About The Position

RAS LaVrar, LLC is an elite creditor’s rights law firm. We provide full-service litigation and collection services to the nation’s largest banks, credit issuers, and debt buyers. We have offices in eight states and employ over one hundred people. The Associate Attorney role provides an opportunity to immediately litigate collections matters, participate in discovery, conduct trials, and demonstrate the ability to meet performance expectations. The candidate must be able to work independently and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Pennsylvania Bar membership is required and if you are barred to practice in other states, that is a plus. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, and includes our benefits package. Additional compensation and special consideration will be given to candidates licensed to practice law, or who are willing to seek admission in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Requirements

Juris Doctor
3-5 years legal experience
Bar membership in Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to filing of lawsuits, including review of pleadings, exhibits, and other supporting materials
Draft and review pleadings and correspondence during the course of litigation
Ensure all internal systems are updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws relating to debt collection
Handle contested matters, including discovery and trials
