Associate Attorney - Workers Compensation
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation Defense practice. This is a fully remote position available to candidates residing anywhere in Florida. The successful candidate will manage an independent caseload while collaborating closely with a seasoned Partner to develop litigation strategies and provide high-quality representation to our clients. This role is designed for a practitioner looking to deepen their expertise within a sophisticated, well-established team. We value precision in legal writing and technical proficiency in medical record analysis.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of practice experience specifically within Workers’ Compensation.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) and an active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and utilize legal technology effectively in a virtual setting.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing complex medical records and drafting concise legal arguments.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in a fully remote or hybrid legal environment.
- Comfort with virtual court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of Workers' Compensation defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Partner with senior attorneys to execute complex litigation strategies and client consultations.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of medical records to guide case development and liability assessments.
- Draft substantive legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, carriers, and employers to ensure strategic alignment.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative remote environment.
