About The Position

The Global Transportation Finance team is seeking Finance associates for their Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, or Miami offices. This cohesive and collaborative team offers a diverse and multidisciplinary practice, providing opportunities for close work with shareholders and involvement in business development and client-facing activities. The platform supports career development and emphasizes excellent client service. The Global Transportation Finance Group is a Band 1 practice ranked by Chambers USA for 19 consecutive years. The role involves representing major banks, leasing companies, airlines, hedge funds, private equity firms, and other investors in complex international and domestic transactions, including financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition, restructuring, and enforcement of aviation, rail, maritime, and general equipment assets.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of transactional experience at a law firm.
• Experience in one or more of the following: securitization, leveraged finance, secured lending, capital markets, maritime, private equity, project finance, structured finance, real estate finance, aviation, rail.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple matters simultaneously.
• A J.D. degree (or its equivalent) and strong academic credentials.
• Admitted in (and in good standing with) or taking steps to become admitted in the relevant jurisdiction (California, Illinois, Texas, or Florida).

Responsibilities

• Represent major banks, leasing companies, airlines, hedge funds, private equity firms, and other investors in complex international and domestic transactions.
• Focus on the financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition, restructuring, and enforcement of aviation, rail, maritime, and general equipment assets.
• Participate in business development and client-facing activities.
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously.
