Associate Attorney - POA Practice (Recent Bar Passers Encouraged to Apply)
About The Position
RMWBH is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Property Owners Association department in the Frisco office. The position involves legal research, fact investigation, and preparation and review of legal documents. Under general supervision, the attorney researches and analyzes statutes, case law, and legal articles and oversees the preparation of documents such as demand letters, association governing documents, opinions, petitions, and motions. The attorney also handles matters related to deed restriction enforcement and collection litigation, counseling, and transactional work, and attends hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
- Demonstrated competencies in problem-solving and analysis, communication, ethical conduct, time management, teamwork, initiative, strategic thinking, business acumen, thoroughness, and presentation skills.

- Proficiency in both litigation and transactional legal work is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other work relating to firm clients in deed restriction enforcement, collection litigation, counseling, and transactional matters.
- Oversee and manage a high-volume pre-litigation and litigation docket.
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
- Interact with and develop client relationships.
- Help coordinate workflow and supervise paralegals.
- Work as needed with POA shareholders, associate attorneys, and staff in other firm offices.
- Conduct legal research and fact investigation and prepare or oversee legal documents.
