A full-service creditor's rights law firm with a national bankruptcy practice is seeking an attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. Requirements
- Experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases
- Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
- License to practice law in New York
- Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in NY
- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
- Computer Literacy
- Professionalism

Responsibilities
- Primarily manages bankruptcy routine matters
- Draft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter
- Attends scheduled hearings
- Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries
- Review filings on behalf of the clients
- Monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)
- Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
- Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the Court
