About The Position

MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney in our Wilmington, Delaware office. MG+M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm’s expertise is diverse yet focused, with our Wilmington office handling a broad range of general, commercial, and corporate litigation matters. We approach litigation as a unified team, integrating our efforts closely with those of our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Requirements

  • Experience in one or more of the following practice areas: general litigation, commercial litigation, and/or corporate litigation.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to practice law in the State of Delaware (required).
  • Demonstrated experience with motion practice and depositions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex factual and legal issues.
  • Professional judgment, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience taking the lead in plaintiff and expert depositions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle local and national litigation matters throughout the State of Delaware.
  • Independently manage all aspects of a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct fact, party, expert, and corporate representative depositions.
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition, hearings, and trial.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests and conducted detailed discovery analysis.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
  • Engage in motion practice, including dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
  • Assist with and support trial preparation, arbitration, mediation, and hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely time records in accordance with firm guidelines.
