In this role, you will cover a broad range of upland and aquatic cleanups, redevelopment and construction projects, purchase and sale of contaminated and brownfield properties, natural resource damage claims, Clean Water Act litigation, and complex cost allocation matters. Clients include large national corporations, small local companies, public entities, and individuals. The ideal candidate will have a depth of experience in sophisticated transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters involving contaminated properties and the application of the Washington Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Experience with, or demonstrable interest in, environmental insurance claims, cost recovery litigation, and allocation of environmental liabilities, along with a willingness to take on a diverse range of fast-paced environmental matters, are necessary components of this role.

Requirements

  • Exceptional client service, self-motivation, teamwork, creativity, and close attention to detail.
  • Two to six years of experience in environmental practice.
  • Licensed to practice in Washington.

Responsibilities
