About The Position

The Associate Art Director, Digital Design & Content is a hands-on creative responsible for bringing the Estée Lauder brand to life across ecommerce, email, social, paid media, and emerging digital platforms. This role balances high-volume digital design with fast-moving content creation – from designing elevated site and email experiences to concepting, shooting, and editing Lo-Fi content. This is an opportunity for a multidisciplinary designer and content creator with exceptional taste, a modern aesthetic, and a passion for beauty and digital culture. We're looking for someone who loves to make things – someone equally excited to obsess over typography and design a beautiful site experience as they are to pick up an iPhone, get behind the camera, and create an engaging Reel or TikTok. This person is curious, collaborative, resourceful, hungry to learn, and excited to experiment with new tools, technologies, and ways of creating content.

Requirements

Exceptional creative taste with a portfolio demonstrating stellar digital design, typography, content creation, and visual storytelling.
5+ years of digital design and/or content creation experience; ecommerce experience strongly preferred.
Strong graphic design foundation with the ability to concept and execute across ecommerce, email, social, and paid media.
Hands-on experience creating short-form video content, including concepting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing.
Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and platform-native content, particularly TikTok and Instagram.
Passion for photography and making content; experience shooting products, beauty, or social content is a strong plus.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; video editing and motion capabilities strongly preferred.
Understanding of UX/UI, mobile-first design, email marketing standards, and digital production requirements.
Strong communicator and presenter who can confidently share ideas while remaining open to feedback and direction.
Curious, collaborative, self-motivated, and low ego, with a genuine desire to learn, experiment, and grow.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with strong organization, attention to detail, and a solutions-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of CMS platforms and basic HTML/CSS is a plus.
Knowledge of TikTok Shop, social commerce, UGC, and performance-driven content is a plus.
Experience with AI creative tools – or a strong curiosity and willingness to learn – is highly valued.
Experience within beauty, fashion, luxury, retail, or another design-driven industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Design elevated, on-brand experiences across our ecommerce, including site refreshes, landing pages, product launches, promotional updates, and other digital touchpoints.
Concept and design email marketing campaigns, partnering with Online, CRM, Social, and cross-functional teams to create a connected consumer experience.
Bring an exceptional eye for typography, layout, imagery, and design craft to every execution.
Design with a mobile-first mindset, considering user experience, messaging hierarchy, platform requirements, and consumer behavior.
Create scalable design solutions that balance exceptional craft with the speed and efficiency required for a high-volume ecommerce business.
Partner with project managers and developers to bring more complex digital experiences from concept through final execution.
Concept, storyboard, shoot, and edit Lo-Fi content across organic social, paid media, ecommerce, TikTok Shop, and other emerging platforms.
Create engaging short-form video, Reels, product storytelling, UGC-style content, photography, and other platform-native assets.
Be comfortable working hands-on with an iPhone, basic lighting and our internal photo studio to create polished, relevant content quickly.
Translate briefs, trends, and business needs into simple, compelling content ideas that feel authentic to both the brand and platform.
Partner with Social, Marketing, Online, and other creative teams to develop content that works cohesively across channels.
Stay deeply connected to beauty, fashion, design, social culture, ecommerce, and emerging content trends.
Understand how consumers discover and shop beauty across platforms, with knowledge of TikTok Shop and social commerce strongly preferred.
Explore AI and emerging creative tools to enhance ideation, content creation, design, and workflow efficiency.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently while remaining flexible, responsive, and collaborative.
Present concepts and design work clearly, take direction thoughtfully, and contribute positively to creative critique and team collaboration.
