About The Position

Boeing Phantom Works has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Applied Mathematician to join us as part of the Advanced Codes & Measurements team located in Berkeley, MO. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship, Post start. An interim or final U.S. Top-Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience with analytical, quantitative reasoning and/or mathematical modeling skills
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computational mathematics
  • Experience prototyping algorithms and testing code
  • Experience with a high-level programming language such as Python, C++
  • Experience with neural networks or machine learning techniques
