Summary: The Associate, Alumni & Broadcast Operations is responsible for administrative, event, and broadcast support for supervisors, as well as project work in a variety of entertainment, broadcasting, alumni relations, and special event capacities, including Ambassador programming and alumni engagement initiatives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE Administrative support – phone coverage, project organization, filing, email correspondence, scheduling, etc. Coordinate all broadcast and Alumni-related billing and expenses. Generate purchase requisition paperwork and track purchase orders to ensure invoices are received and paid in a timely fashion. Take on special projects, research, and other duties assigned. BROADCASTING Assist with coordination of on-site broadcast operations for national and local rightsholders. Assist with coordination of park and power for home & visiting TV with electrical foreman and tech managers. Help troubleshoot on-site operational issues. Attend all broadcast operation meetings, walk-throughs, and site visits. Escort special guests (alumni, celebrities) to broadcast booths and coordinate in-game interviews. Assist in broadcast coordination of MLB & team Jewel events. Create and deliver broadcast homestand notes/promotional items to broadcast booths. Disseminate MLB broadcasting and scheduling information to rightsholders throughout the year. Provide support for rightsholders and corporate hospitality. Maintain broadcast manual and maps for rightsholders and provide updates as needed. Help promote key Mets initiatives to broadcast partners. Field internal on-air broadcast requests and help facilitate on-site. Assist with special filming at the ballpark. Act as liaison for Mets broadcaster appearances. Manage and maintain department files, calendars, and homestand notes. ALUMNI & EVENT SUPPORT Assist with travel booking and internal ballpark coordination for Ambassador appearances, on-site anniversary celebrations, NHOF inductions, and other Alumni visits. Escort Alumni to requests around the ballpark during home games. Support organization of meetings, planning, and program development. Assist in creating and supporting plans to build an Alumni Association and grow the department. Assist in ensuring positive relations with all Alumni. Support department with Jewel events coordination, Alumni relations needs, and special projects as assigned. Key Performance Indicators: Efficiently produce high-quality work to meet deadlines. Timeliness of budgets, departmental paperwork, and invoice submission. Positive feedback from internal staff and external contacts, partners, and alumni. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in marketing, broadcasting, Alumni relations, PR, sports, or events and entertainment preferred. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent team player and collaborator. Extremely organized and strong notetaker. Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail. Able to prioritize, plan, make decisions, and over-communicate in a lean organization. Quick and innovative thinker with anticipatory sense and excellent judgment; ability to navigate nuance and sensitivities.
