About The Position

American Institute for Economic Research educates Americans on the value of personal freedom, free enterprise, property rights, limited government, and sound money. AIER’s ongoing scientific research demonstrates the importance of these principles in advancing peace, prosperity and human progress.
The primary goal of all AIER programs is to facilitate the dissemination of economic research and to engage everyday people in the ideas related to our mission. These programs occur both on AIER’s campus and at conferences across the country. The secondary purpose of these programs is to generate meaningful feedback to improve research and develop dynamic educational content.
The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) seeks a highly organized and mission-driven Educational Program Associate to develop Alumni Programs and engage Alumni to build support and engagement in that growing community.
This role is central to the success of AIER’s educational mission and will provide an opportunity to both build programming with the Director of Education and will require close collaboration with internal teams, as well as external partners.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in programming, alumni engagement, or other program-oriented positions. Alumni experience preferred.
• Ability to engage in strategic planning and program development.
• Strong commitment to AIER’s mission and vision.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Professional, collaborative, and results-oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with email marketing platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Undergraduate degree in a field related to AIER’s mission preferred but not required.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar systems is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Alumni Database and Lists in AIER’s CRM systems
• Propose and carry out alumni communications and events in close collaboration with the Director of Education.
• Propose and build an alumni engagement program to ensure life-cycle planning for alumni across their career evolution.
• Plan and Host Alumni Events at conferences and identify opportunities to meaningfully engage alumni with the entirety of AIER’s mission, with special attention to engaging alumni. Manage invitations and registration workflows.
• Support education team events, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
• Assist in building and documenting internal processes to promote continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
