About The Position

Our client is a well-established independent retirement and insurance planning firm serving clients throughout the Tri-Cities area of Washington. For more than 30 years, the firm has built a highly referral-driven practice centered on trust, long-term relationships, and personalized retirement guidance. The firm specializes in retirement income planning, fixed and fixed indexed annuities, Medicare planning, long-term care strategies, tax-aware retirement planning, and legacy planning. Unlike many advisory firms that rely heavily on purchased leads, seminars, or outbound prospecting, this practice has developed a multigenerational client base primarily through referrals and long-standing relationships. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career within a growing independent financial planning practice while working directly alongside an experienced founder. The role is designed to evolve into a broader advisory and leadership opportunity, with the potential to become an important part of the firm’s long-term succession plan. The office is highly client-focused, relationship-driven, and community-oriented. The firm regularly hosts educational workshops, retirement events, and client appreciation gatherings through its in-house education center, creating an engaging environment for clients and team members. The Associate Advisor will work directly with the founder to support day-to-day client planning, case preparation, application processing, retirement income planning, and ongoing relationship management. This individual will play a critical role in streamlining operations while allowing the founder to spend more time meeting with clients and growing the practice. This is not a purely back-office position. The ideal candidate will become increasingly client-facing, participate in client meetings and reviews, help manage investment and retirement planning relationships, and grow into a larger advisory role over time. The firm is seeking someone who is personable, driven, organized, and highly trustworthy. Cultural fit and genuine care for clients are considered just as important as technical experience.
