About The Position

Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks an Experienced Associate Actuarial in Charlotte, North Carolina to provide actuarial consulting services. Support retirement and pension benefit programs for the company’s International Wealth Solutions Practice. Develop and implement project plans for client initiatives and deliverables for actuarial consulting services. Analyze client pension and retirement plans to assess which plans require actuarial valuations for accounting purposes. Prepare valuation runs and program provisions and interpret the valuation results to provide recommendations. Collect census data and perform annual valuations of pension plans. Prepare projections of long-term financial information for pensions and other post-retirement benefit plans. Design and cost new retirement programs. Conduct quantitative comparisons of employee benefit programs for groups of employers. Ensure retirement and pension benefit programs are compliant with pension accounting standards, including US GAAP (ASC715) and IFRS (IAS19).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • One year of actuarial consulting experience.
  • At least one year of experience in supporting employee benefit programs.
  • At least one year of experience in preparing employee benefit valuation runs and program provisions and interpreting the valuation results.
  • At least one year of experience in preparing projections of long-term financial information for employee benefit plans.
  • At least one year of experience in analyzing employee benefits plans using Microsoft Office technologies.
