About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Accountant who combines advanced Microsoft Excel expertise with strong analytical judgment, disciplined time management, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. This position is responsible for completing recurring and ad hoc accounting activities accurately, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering reliable financial information within established timelines. MUST SIT AT HOPE PLANT NO REMOTE HOURS.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or experience commensurate with knowledge typically acquired through a four year degree is required.
Requires standard computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications. Excel Word PowerPoint .
Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment; using good judgment to complete tasks; ability to set priorities and coordinate with others.

Nice To Haves

6 plus months work experience preferred but not required.
SAP experience will be a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and reconcile accounting data using advanced Excel tools, formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data-validation techniques.
Review financial information for accuracy, identify trends and variances, investigate discrepancies, and translate findings into clear, actionable conclusions.
Plan and prioritize daily, weekly, monthly, and period-end accounting assignments to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
Partner effectively with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and support shared objectives.
Support continuous improvement by simplifying reports, strengthening controls, and developing more efficient accounting processes.
