About The Position

Accounting Associate-Responsible for moderate accounting activities related to
daily balancing of fixed asset accounts payable activity and balancing of daily
Remedy System billing of computer equipment. Analysis and resolution of
outstanding fixed asset clearing account balances on a period basis. Performs
other duties as required.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
• Two to three years experience in Accounting/Finance

Responsibilities

• Run rumba and PeopleSoft queries and incorporate data into Excel spreadsheet for tracking weekly company expenditures greater than $20,000 and research questionable invoices.
• Oversee imaging of fixed asset invoicesResearch documents in Fixed Asset Imaging system for tax auditsResearch and gather information related to casualty losses related to fire and storm damage for filing of insurance claims.Reconciliation and resolution of fixed asset clearing accounts and research differencesResearch all maintenance invoices over $1,000 each period to determine if they should be capitalized.
• Daily balancing of A/P Asset Interface process, including running queries, matching daily reports with invoices keyed and updating Excel spreadsheet daily.
• Daily balancing of Remedy system and daily interface to the general ledger including running queries and updating the daily excel balancing spreadsheet.Column total should equal 100%.
