About The Position

This role is responsible for owning and growing Water+ volume across an assigned territory. The Associate Account Manager will build a customer base in sod, turf, hay, pasture, and specialty segments. This position involves prospecting new customers through various channels, partnering with internal teams and external partners to expand reach, and ensuring customer satisfaction post-application. The role also requires building product knowledge to advance career opportunities within the company and serving as a field liaison for customer inquiries and support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time exempt sales experience in agriculture.
  • Proven ability to build a territory from the ground up, including through cold and remote outreach.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Belief in the importance of nutrient use efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in an agriculture-related field preferred.
  • Experience selling inoculants, fertilizer enhancers, micronutrients, or specialty liquid nutrition a plus.
  • Familiarity with irrigation and turf, sod, or forage production preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow Water+ volume across an assigned territory, building a customer base in sod, turf, hay, pasture, and specialty segments.
  • Prospect new customers through direct and remote outreach, grower networks, and referrals from retailers, co-ops, veterinarians, and farriers.
  • Partner with Account Managers, Strategic Accounts, and retail/co-op partners to extend Water+ reach.
  • Follow up after first applications to confirm results, troubleshoot issues, and keep loads scheduled.
  • Coordinate pickup, tote exchange, and delivery with customers and the Salt Lake City site team around planting, mowing, and baling windows.
  • Build full-line Verdesian product knowledge to progress toward Account Manager or Strategic Account roles.
  • Serve as field liaison between customers and the Salt Lake City site on product quality, availability, and scheduling.
  • Identify white-space opportunities by segment and irrigation type, and screen out poor-fit or compliance-risk prospects.
  • Work with Marketing and R&D to gather proof points (soil and tissue tests, side-by-sides, testimonials).
  • Maintain CRM, pipeline, load volumes, and account plans.
  • Support field days, grower events, demonstrations, and sample fulfillment.
  • Provide application guidance by crop and irrigation method.
  • Other duties as assigned.
