About The Position

Archipelago is seeking an Associate Account Executive to join our growing go-to-market and sales organization. This role is crucial for preserving and expanding our customer base by supporting sales leadership through reporting, forecasting, and data analysis. The Associate Account Executive will work alongside experienced sales professionals to identify growth opportunities and cultivate profitable, long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a background in risk management or property broking, a talent for customer service, and the ability to balance a customer-first mindset with a results-driven approach. This position involves assisting sales leadership with building pipeline, acquiring new logos, and managing associated ARR. Utilizing analytical skills, the role will assess customer data to identify trends, flag risks, and uncover expansion opportunities within the existing customer base, while also nurturing strong relationships with current customers for satisfaction and retention. Success in this role requires cross-functional collaboration with marketing, business development, sales engineering, and sales development representatives to support the end-to-end sales process. The Associate Account Executive will prepare polished presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, conveying insights and recommendations. A strong understanding of the risk management landscape is essential for effectively positioning Archipelago's solutions to companies managing significant commercial property value. The role involves assessing pain points, aligning value with the solution, understanding prospects, coordinating sales engineering involvement, and driving the contracting process. This includes relationship building, research, and supporting the entire sales cycle. Engaging prospects will involve a combination of video conference calls and in-person meetings, with travel required.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in the Property Insurance industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and sharp attention to detail
  • Deep curiosity for product knowledge, with a passion for translating that understanding into customer solutions
  • High-energy self-starter who takes initiative, brings fresh ideas, and operates with a strong sense of urgency

Responsibilities

  • Support and help drive sales goals by assisting in prospecting, qualifying, and managing new business opportunities, with a focus on building pipeline within key insurance broker and commercial property accounts.
  • Prepare and develop data analysis and presentations for prospect meetings.
  • Conduct demonstrations and training of the Archipelago platform to show value proposition.
  • Partner with sales leadership to run discovery conversations, support product demonstrations, and assist in coordinating structured pilots with clear success criteria and timelines.
  • Prepare Customer Order Forms and assist in managing the contracting process in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Security teams.
  • Partner closely with your Commercial Account Managers on their account prioritization, ensuring your efforts maximize revenue opportunities within accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Marketing/BDR on targeted campaigns; work with Product and Customer Success to translate pilot feedback into wins and expansions.
  • Operational Excellence - Maintain complete, accurate CRM hygiene (activities, contacts, stages, next steps); report on KPIs and continuously refine the sales process.
