About The Position

The G. Brint Ryan College of Business is the choice of nearly 9,000 students, making it one of the largest business schools in the nation. This position builds collaborative relationships with students to develop meaningful educational goals consistent with personal interests, values, and abilities. In addition, this position is responsible for advising students on degree/program requirements and course scheduling; maintaining and updating student status, records, transcript evaluations, degree plan audits, and graduation applications. This position has the potential to be based at UNT’s regional campus located in Frisco, Texas. UNT at Frisco supports over 20 undergraduate and graduate degrees and more than 3,100 students. If based out of Frisco, this position is a hybrid position officing between the Frisco campus and the Denton campus with some remote days.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and use a variety of simple to complex computer applications

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Process graduation packets and degree plans as assigned to meet College and University deadlines.
  • Advise students individually and in group settings regarding degree requirements and University and College Policies. Make referrals to campus offices as necessary.
  • Present Ryan College of Business degree information at new student orientations and major changer groups.
  • Prepare and update degree audits/degree plans to include evaluating and applying transfer work in accordance with University and College policies.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned: i.e. letter requests, maintaining/developing handouts, retention, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Demonstrate commitment and ability to support various group of individuals within the academic community.
  • Contribute to the overall organizational health and performance of the Ryan College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office through teamwork, knowledge sharing, professional development, and professional relationship building.
