Reporting to Emad Saad, the Insurance Associate will manage the Insurance portfolio at large, dealing with all insurance applications, management of underwriting, developing insurance opportunities within existing clientele, and with new prospects. The incumbent may also be required to utilize exceptional organization and client service skills to assist the Senior Wealth Advisor with administrative tasks and transaction processing related to managing client accounts.

Requirements

  • A diploma in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study.
  • Current and maintained registration as a member of the CSF (Insurance Licensed).
  • High level of proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ experience in insurance and/or wealth industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completing all insurance applications with clients.
  • Completing the various stages of underwriting and engaging with the insurance carriers to have policies placed.
  • Engaging with various insurance carriers and reconciling monthly insurance commissions.
  • Creating and maintaining insurance reports.
  • Maintaining and updating records of all insurance licensed personnel and assisting with licensed renewals, including their Continuing Education requirements.
  • Committing rigorous follow-ups relating to all client transactions to ensure proper processing and minimization of errors.
  • Maintaining client files, ensuring that all documentation and notes are compliant with industry regulations.
  • Planning Conquest.
  • Preparing prospects files for recommendations.
  • Review and summarize wills and mandates.
  • Acting as a general resource person for clients (ex: providing statements, tax slips).
  • Having a strong understanding of the firm’s procedures and policies.
  • Maintaining client files, ensuring that all documentation and notes are compliant with industry regulations.
  • Performing other reasonable duties as assigned to support the lead consultant to further advance the practice’s mission and vision.
