About The Position

The Associate Test Technician supports production operations by performing testing, verification, and documentation activities on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This role follows established procedures, work instructions, and test plans to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements. The technician will complete test write‑ups, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues identified during testing. This is an entry‑level role ideal for individuals who are detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to grow within a technical manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, testing, or related technical work.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work with general instruction on daily tasks.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English, with strong arithmetic skills.
  • Proficient typing and basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, video generators, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, or mechanical systems.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute functional and environmental tests on electronic and mechanical assemblies according to documented procedures.
  • Operate a variety of test equipment, including power supplies, meters, video generators, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Record test results accurately and complete required test write‑ups and documentation.
  • Identify test failures, anomalies, or irregularities and escalate findings to senior technicians or engineering.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Support troubleshooting activities under guidance from senior staff.
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and verification of test equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and testing operations.
