About The Position

Finance strategically partners with operations to drive outstanding business results and enhance Ford’s industry leadership. In this position, you will be at the heart of funding Ford Credit’s business. Ford Credit’s securitization programs allow Ford Credit to lower borrowing cost and dramatically increase financial returns to the company. This position is key to maintaining one of Ford Credit’s three major funding platforms which provide over $15 billions of public funding and liquidity for Ford Credit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of Capital Markets or Treasury related experience
  • Desire to understand Ford Credit's ABS platforms, including systems, processes and regulatory requirements
  • Strong ownership and attention to detail; unquestionable integrity
  • Desire to learn about capital markets
  • Ability to effectively communicate with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work across multiple tasks simultaneously and meet critical deadlines
  • Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment; exhibits desire for continuous improvement
  • Strong computer skills including Excel

  • ABS experience specifically, also referred to as securitization

Responsibilities

  • Work on Treasury's asset-backed securitization team, which is instrumental to funding Ford Credit
  • Own all aspects of assigned ABS assets class (retail, lease, or floorplan)
  • Execute ABS funding actions, including public / 144-A and private, bank sponsored transactions.
  • Manage monthly cash settlement and payments
  • Structure new ABS transactions in reporting system; creation and validation of the first investor report and wire report; create settlement day cash flow diagrams for new ABS transactions
  • Support in the creation of new ABS transaction documents and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Update quarterly reporting information (i.e., performance data & metrics) for investors, investor meetings and external auditors
  • Ownership of deal calendar, checklists, transaction documents, deal structuring
  • Ability to use Ford Credit’s suite of securitization systems
  • Negotiations with bank partners, trustees and rating agencies; responding to performance inquiries and data requests from bank partners
  • Renewing private ABS facilities
  • Driving enhancements to existing funding platforms
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (Ford Credit, OGC, Accounting, Internal Controls, GAO) and external stakeholders (Trustees, Rating Agencies, External Auditors and Banking Partners) supporting ABS
  • Other ad hoc projects, as assigned
