About the Job: The Associate Manager, Accounting & Reporting supports Yum Digital & Technology’s UK and Vietnam technology hubs and serves as a key member of the global Control organization. This role owns end‑to-end accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance activities for both entities, including monthly close, quarterly tax provisions, statutory reporting, and annual financial statement audits. As the Associate Manager you will act as a trusted finance partner to cross‑functional stakeholders, lead through influence across shared services and third‑party providers and provide day‑to-day leadership and development of a Senior Analyst. This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, sound professional judgment, and the ability to drive results in a fast‑paced, global environment. You will be required to attend the Louisville, KY office three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday). Salary Range: $110,500- $125,000 + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience; experience supporting international legal entities strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with the responsibility of month‑end close, statutory reporting, and external audits.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and to partner cross‑functionally with HR, Tax, shared services, and third‑party providers.
  • Experience coaching, reviewing, or developing team members.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to exercise independent judgment in complex situations.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Close & Reporting Responsible for the monthly close process for the UK and Vietnam D&T legal entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and policy‑compliant financial results.
  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations; proactively investigate and resolve complex variances and unusual items.
  • Drive high‑quality quarterly and annual management and legal entity reporting in alignment with Yum D&T and Yum! Brands requirements.
  • Exercise professional judgment and accountability for accounting conclusions, documentation, and outcomes.
  • Tax, Statutory Reporting & Audit Coordinate quarterly tax provision activities in partnership with Tax and local advisors.
  • Oversee quarterly statutory reporting and the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for both entities.
  • Serve as the primary finance contact for external auditors, leading audit planning, managing audit requests, resolving issues, and driving audits to timely completion.
  • Cross‑Functional & Third‑Party Partnership Partner closely with local HR teams in the UK and Vietnam to support payroll‑related accounting, employee cost allocations, and financial impacts.
  • Oversee and coordinate with the third‑party accounting services provider in Vietnam, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with Yum policies, and timely delivery of results.
  • Collaborate with UK shared service teams responsible for Accounts Payable, payroll processing, and Travel & Expense reporting to ensure accurate and efficient end‑to-end processes.
  • Lead through influence to align stakeholders, resolve issues, and drive consistent outcomes across teams.
  • Team Leadership & Development Provide direct oversight, coaching, and development of a Senior Analyst responsible for: Coordinating billings related to eCommerce and Restaurant Coach initiatives.
  • Reviewing contractor capitalization and accrual entries.
  • Set clear expectations, review work for quality and accuracy, and reinforce ownership and accountability.
  • Support the development of technical accounting and analytical skills.
  • Controls, Risk & Continuous Improvemen t Promote and maintain a strong internal control environment in compliance with Yum accounting policies and SOX requirements.
  • Proactively identify accounting, reporting, and operational risks and communicate them clearly to Control leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, reporting quality, and scalability, and lead the implementation of process improvements across teams and providers.
