Raytheon Shipboard Missiles, a sub-strategic business unit within Naval Power, is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Program Management Associate Director for the Standard Missile 3 Blk IIA (SM-3 Blk IIA) Under Layer Development contract. This is a highly visible program within both Raytheon and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position reports directly to the SM-3 IIA Associate Director for Development/DMSMS Programs and is responsible for executing this critical development contract on time and within the aggressive schedule needed by the customer. SM-3 Blk IIA is a critical munitions program, and this effort is a building block in capturing a key growth opportunity. This leader will establish priorities, optimize performance and execution, support internal and external customers, ensure the development schedule supports multiple flight tests over the next 4 years, and maintain the strong SM-3 culture. Responsibilities include strengthening customer relationships, managing multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across the country, program execution, and accountability for achieving results within the needed timeline. The SM-3 IIA Under Layer Associate Director will also drive continued improvement in overall Raytheon performance and has accountability for profit and loss, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and financial metrics. This role leads a team with approximately 200-300 matrixed employees responsible for a $500M development effort over 4 years. This is an onsite role in Tucson, Arizona, and relocation assistance is not available.
