About The Position

The BHA Assisting Director plays a pivotal role in supporting the leadership and operational management of SPIN's Behavioral Health Arrangement (BHA). This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs that enhance behavioral health supports and services across the organization. The role requires close collaboration with clinical teams, administrative staff, families, and community partners to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered support. The Assisting Director will contribute to strategic planning initiatives that strengthen service quality, support positive outcomes, and enhance organizational effectiveness. Ultimately, this position helps ensure that SPIN fulfills its mission of empowering people supported by SPIN to live self-directed, meaningful lives within their communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health program management or administration.
  • Valid Driver's License, Registered and Insured Vehicle for work purposes
  • Proficient in Microsoft and or other Windows Based programs
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills support the evaluation of program effectiveness and the development of data-driven improvements.
  • Proficiency with healthcare technology and administrative tools facilitates efficient resource management, reporting, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in overseeing daily operations of SPIN's Behavioral Health Arrangement to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Support program development and evaluation efforts to improve outcomes and service quality for individuals receiving services at SPIN.
  • Coordinate staff training and professional development activities to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Engage with community stakeholders and partner organizations to foster collaborative relationships and expand service opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Maintains the general safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of assigned homes in collaboration with Real Property.
  • Oversees the completion, timeliness, and accuracy of all documentation related to assigned programs and people supported.
  • Holds all employees accountable to SPIN standards and position performance expectations.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times in accordance with the expectations outlined in the Residential Services Director's Plan.
  • Promotes recovery, self-determination, informed choice, and meaningful community participation for the people supported by SPIN.
